Case Study 1
Overview: Commercial multi-tenant office building in Fairfield County, 150,000 total square feet. Building is nearly 30 years old, required complete upgrade to all security systems, including card access control, cameras, security alarm system, and intercom.
Unique installation considerations: Owner and management did not want any period of time where the building would be “without security,” so new systems had to be installed while existing systems were running.
Solution: Designed and installed new card access and camera systems with “digital video integration,” for seamless interface between card access and camera software. Solution included electronic photo ID badge system to help building management to differentiate between tenants and visitors. Complete upgrades to security alarm and intercom systems were also done.
Benefit to customer: In addition to its improved reliability and capability, the new system has assisted the building’s owners in their efforts to reposition the building as one with state-of-the-art amenities and services, in order to make it more attractive to existing as well as potential tenants. As an additional benefit to building management, the system can be administered locally by property management staff, as well as remotely via the Internet by off-site management. |
